Welcome to Sustain Champlain's Wiki.

What is Sustain Champlain?
We are a group of faculty, staff and students who are interested in the environmental impact of Champlain College. Our goal is to develop strategies and recommendations that will help create a more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly Champlain.
What is our Mission?
To create a campus-wide culture that engages the Champlain community to make effective use and re-use of our resources, with an eye towards promoting fiscal responsibility, environmental leadership, and a shared commitment to the ecological health of the planet for present and future generations.
“Sustain Champlain” will work to implement this mission in four areas.
1.Our institutions.
2.Our academic program.
3.Our operations.
4.Our campus culture.
What are we up to?
Our current agenda is two fold: highlight the initiatives already underway at the College (and there are many!), and generate interest and momentum within our community, particularly among students, to affect change at Champlain.
How can you get involved?
No matter your role on campus, we are interested in having you join us. Please send ideas for sustainability initiatives to us at sustainchamplain@champlain.edu. You are also welcome and invited to our monthly meeting.
